Hello lovelies--
I hope your week is going fabulous and you are gearing up for Thanksgiving.
It's official.  The holiday season has begun!

{Pop. Fizz. Clink.}

To kick off the season, I am featuring my GiGi New York tote from their Holiday Collection.

This tote is perfection.
 It's white gold, soft leather, and the perfect mix of glam and practicality for my busy holiday season.
The cherry on top: my pretty lil' initials engraved towards the top center.

If you're searching for the perfect personalized gift for you or your loved one,
I suggest you check out thier  2013 Holiday Gift Guide!

I paired my tote with this Collective Concepts sweater dress and a fur vest from Dillard's.  All of these pieces I'm wearing have become basic essentials in my winter wardrobe...especially this fur vest!

What says 'holiday' better than sweaters, glitz, and fur, anyway? ;)

 Wishing you all safe travels and a blessed Thanksgiving tomorrow!

xoxo.

So Nostalgic

Sweater: Target {in store}
Jumper: Forever 21{in store}

I love, love, love this jumper I scored at Forever 21 recently.
The fact that it's in one of my favorite prints this season was just an added bonus.
Jumpers bring back some Catholic school nostalgia for me.  I adored my school uniforms growing up.
Adding the turtle neck underneath, also made me feel a little like Marsha, from The Brady Bunch or even Cher, from Clueless....
Anyone else sense that vibe?

{side note: The Brady Bunch was one of my favorite shows growing up...a close second to Friends.}

There's something so comforting about a little nostalgia every now and then.

My mom has always told me, "don't wish your life away".
I wanted braces at 5, my drivers license at 14,
a college acceptance at 16, and to start my career at 19.
Needless to say, I have always been thinking about the next step.

It's still something I'm working on, but as I get older,
I understand the importance of not "wishing your life away."

It's silly things like a girly jumper, flipping through old pictures, or watching a nineties sitcom that help me slow down....
To not think about my next move so much,
but to count my blessings, enjoy the present, remember my past,
and know that with faith and prayer, everything will happen if and when it's suppose to.

"Again you can't connect the dots looking forward, you can only connect them looking backwards.  So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.  You have to trust in something-your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever.  This approach has never let me down, it has made all the difference in my life"

Ankle Boots Collaboration

Ankle boots{or booties as most of us call them} take on many shapes and forms.
Today, one of my new favorite bloggers and I share with you two looks with equally cute, completely different styled booties.

First of all, let me introduce you to the gorgeous Grace, from Gracefullee Made.
Gracefullee Made is easily one of my new favorites blogs.
Grace has impeccable style that is the perfect mix of classic and trendy.
She has an absolute knack for layering, and always is dressed to impress.

For Grace's look, she opted for a casual camel colored ankle boot.
 I love how she rolled up her jeans with the boyfriend styled denim.
The fun "Creme de la Creme" sweatshirt layered over the classic gingham button down is too cute to handle!
Her pretty bow and chunky pearls add the perfect feminine touch to this laid back look.

Be sure to add Gracefullee Made to your daily reads as well, I'm certain you will love her blog as much as I do!

As for my look, I pulled out my absolute favorite booties from Lulu's.
These babies are so comfortable, and I am constantly on the hunt for some just like it..in any or every color!
These are heeled booties, yes...but the heel is the perfect height and I can easily stand in them all day.

I paired my booties with this lovely drop-waist dress from my favorite shop, Maude Boutique.
My mom got this dress for me for my birthday about a month ago, and I absolutley LOVE it.
I had to get it taken up because it was a tad too long on me, but now it fits perfect and is so cute paired with tights and my flat booties as well!
I will have to do another outfit post with it again soon.;)

To complete this bootiful look,
 I layered on my trustee cargo vest and gorgeous gem from Sira Mara.

Booties: Lulu's {old, similar here, here, and here}
Vest: Old Navy
Bag: Phillip Lim 3.1 for Target

Happy Monday Lovelies!

Langford Market Plaid Coat

Hola Chicas!

Here's a little snip-it of my post on Langford Market's blog!  Their blog is full of daily inspirations, and I am thrilled to be a contributor.
If you do not follow yet, be sure to do so! They also have store locations in Houston and Austin, TX, as well as Memphis {where I have visited}.
I discovered Langford Market on one of my trips to Memphis and absolutely loved the store, as well as the sweet girls that work there!  They are always so helpful and attentive!
When I saw this coat, I knew it had to be mine.  It was one of the several goodies I left with, but most defiantly my favorite.

{side confession: I may be a tad addicted to plaid right now.  Is it a problem? Possibly..}

Light my fire.

Hi lovelies-
I hope everyone enjoyed the weekend.
I ran away to Memphis to enjoy my precious three days off with Will.
This was my first time off in seven days, so I soaked up every minute of it.
I have been working so much lately, and I was in desperate need of some outdoor time.
Fresh air and fall leaves on the agenda.

Low key, one-on-one time with my favorite person.
Only seeing each other on the weekends makes time like this even more sweet.
We watched our Razorbacks play, then Will built a fire pit outside in the backyard for us to enjoy later in the night.
No, I didn't help build the fire...
 I played with the pups and watched the handsome guy do his thing.;)

Later that evening, we walked to dinner at a little Italian restaurant in the neighborhood, where we brought our own bottle of wine and listened to some live music.
There is something more romantic about walking to and from a date, especially in the cooler weather.

After dinner, we ended the night by gathering everyone else at the house around the fire.
We sat, listened to music, and enjoyed each other's company.
It officially felt like Fall, and I'm officially in love.

{Meet Charlie, our neighborhood friend.  She REALLY wanted to be in front of the camera.}

Balancing Act

Top: Francesca's {similar here}
Skirt: F21

I have to admit, as it starts getting colder outside, I find it a bit harder to get dressed in the morning.
All I want to wear is a chunky sweater, boots, and leggings.
{The cozier, the better.}
And it doesn't make it any easier that my office feels like an igloo 95% of the time.
  The challenge is to mix my work attire with the cozy knits that I cannot live without.
This outfit ended up being the perfect balance.

I LOVE this thin knit sweater from Francesca's.
It's warm, can easily be layered, and looks polished enough for the office.
On my 5'3 frame, it's easy to be over taken by fall layers, but sweaters like this are perfect!
Pairing the sweater with tights and sleek booties dresses up the look, while the scarf is a stylish {and warm} layer.
My tortoise cluster necklace was the perfect final touch.

Do any of you workin' gals have a go-to outfit for the cold weather?
