Super laid back and layered look for a day of activities with Will.
We ran errands and then decided to go for an evening hike.
I had to bring a change of shoes though.
I love these Kate Spade Keds for running around town,
I jump at my chance to wear them on my days off,
 but some sneaks are not meant for the mud.

{Gold brocade...Fur... Leather.}
All of the above, please.

On my visit to Maude last week,
this beauty of a coat caught my eye.
When I found out I was meeting with Stephanie to shoot an outfit post,
I knew I had to stop by my favorite shop to find a stand out piece.
Of course, Maude did not let me down.
I can always count on Maude to have something special, unique,
 and most importantly...
something I feel beautiful in.

To accessorize, I added a casual beanie and a simple necklace.
The coat definitely speaks enough for itself, wouldn't you say?

This past week was my vacation and I was fortunate enough to spend half of it in at home in Northwest Arkansas, and the other half in Dallas, TX.
It was seriously the BEST WEEK EVER.
I spent time with my family,  had my hair done at my sisters salon, and was reunited with all of my sweet friends from college.
Oh, and I relaxed as much as possible...something I was in desperate need of.

When I was in Fayetteville,
I also had the opportunity to shoot a couple outfit posts with my new friend, Stephanie Parsley.
I have admired her work for a long time and was thrilled we finally met in person!
Not only is she an extremley talented photographer,
she was so sweet and fun to work with.
If you do not follow Stephanie on Instagram, you should!
Her pictures will be sure to brighten your day.
{ps-she has the cutest cats you have ever seen.}

'Winterize' Your Maxi

Towards the middle of winter,
I start to get a little bored of the usual legging-sweater-boot combination.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE winter clothes,
but some days call for something a little unexpected.
When we hit nearly 60 degrees here in Arkansas the other day,
I jumped at the chance to bare a little leg.
 {A leg that has not seen a lot of sunlight, so I apologize if the paleness blinds you.}

One of my favorite ways to switch things up this time of year,
is to 'winterize' one of my basic jersey maxi dresses.
There are a few ways to do this,
not all require slightly warmer weather--some you can even wear with tights.
But for this look, I chose to layer on a Free People crop top.
{A cropped sweater would also look really cute!}
I also added a brim hat, and these Seychelles booties I can't seem to take off my feet.
And to show off these booties of mine,
I simply tied a knot on the side of my maxi dress.

Plaid + Fur

Top: Skies Are Blue via Mod Cloth
{I got mine at Dillards, but it is currently sold out.  Chicwish has an identical one here}
Sunglasses: Rayban
Shoes: BC Footwear via Maude Boutique
Watch: Micheal Kors

Tis' the season for {faux} fur.
This vest, from skies are blue has been one of my staples this season.
It's the perfect length and color,
and the two-tone fur makes for a unique twist.
It's also not too bulky, like some of the other fur vests I have tried on.
It's one of those pieces that I didn't realize how much 'milage' I would get out of it,
until I actually got it home and paired it with things in my wardrobe.
No buyer remorse here!
If your looking for a fabulous fur vest, I would highly recommend this one.

I wore this outfit yesterday to my sisters beauty bar/spa, The Crown.
Her and her husband opened The Crown just a few months ago,
and this was the first time I'd seen it since the grand opening.
It was absolutely stunning, and I'm so proud of the amazing business they have built.
I spent the day there, getting my hair beautified.
There aren't many things better than a day at the salon.
I took some pictures, and I can't wait to show y'all my hair
and the fabulous decor in her new place.
A post with pictures will be up later this week, so {stay tuned!}
